Collectors From The World, Brazil

Here is an outstanding collection of Red Books from a customer from Brazil. One of the biggest Red Book collection I have ever seen. Well done. Here are some remarks from the collector about his collection: "My collection has been in the making since 2019, so roughly 5 years now, though I was already collecting other books and pamphlets from socialist countries. I have some rarities such as many 1930s books published in the Soviet Union, Hoxha's full selected works, as well as publications from Brazilian armed left-wing organizations that fought against the military dictatorship in our country in the 60s-70s. 

My collection of the red vinyl cover pocket sized books ("little red books") includes the standard "Quotations from Chairman Mao" in English, Chinese, Portuguese, French, German, Spanish, Bilingual, etc. In Chinese I have a few copies of variations of the Quotations such as "updated" Cultural Revolution versions, Lin Biao quotations, Party Congress documents, and even a copy hand written by a Red Guard back in 1968-1969.

I also collect all books published in China during that era with that same format, and have found truly execptional rarities such as copies in Swahili, Arab, Urdur, Mongolian, Bengali, Indonesian, etc. Overall, over 60 "little red books" in 15+ languages."
