Book made in China, 1984. . It contains the selected works of Liu Shaoqi volume 1 translated in English. The selcted works of Deng Xiaoping came in three volumes. This is volume 2.
Volume 1 is a collection of 39 articles and speeches of Deng Xiaoping during the period from 1965 to 1983, most of which were never published before. Volume 2 focuses on the works during the period from 1975 to 1982. The second edition of Volume 2 is supplemented with 14 articles, most of which are published for the first time. The supplement is about Deng’s thoughts on building the socialism with Chinese characteristics raised in the 1970s and the beginning of 1980s. Volume 3 comprises 119 speeches and articles during the period from September in 1982 to February in 1992, most of which are published for the first time.
