Book made in Portugal, 1984, about the visit of the President of Mozambique in 1983. The president was Samora Machel and the book is filled with speeches during the visit. The book is an Ex Libris of Jose Neves Aguas.
José Neves Águas was born in Lisbon in 1920. After completing secondary education, he began his professional career as a publicist, having actively participated in political and union life.
Between 1959 and 1960 he directed the cultural page “Rota”, of the newspaper “República”. He collaborated with several newspapers and magazines, such as “Diário de Lisboa”, “A Capital”, “Planície”, “Correio do Ribatejo” and “Diário de Coimbra”. Most of his texts, especially after April 25, 1974, focused on themes such as political protest and strike movements. He was responsible for collecting a significant set of political propaganda posters and pamphlets. Neves Águas died in Lisbon in 1991.
