The first authorised English translation was done by Samuel Moore edited by Engels. It was published simultaneously in America in Chicago „Manifesto of the Communist Party” by Karl Marx and Frederick Engels authorized English translation: Edited and Annotated by Frederick Engels Chicago: Charles H. Kerr & Company 1888 and in England London, William Reeves, 185 Fleet Street, E.C. 1888.
