Nice big carpet/tapestry showing the head of Lenin. This carpet was made in the DDR and the previous owner took it from a Statsi building and took this carpet under his arm on the airplane. Beautiful powerful image of Lenin. Very cool piece for bars or alternative places.
Usually they attached a piece of wood along side the top of the carpet, and nailed it down in order to hang this on the walls. So on the top of the carpet there are a few little pinholes wich is typical for these types of tapestry’s. Also a little pinhole is in the head of Lenin.
The carpet is not dirty but probably after cleaning the colours will be more intense.
