Desktop made in Germany from the IG Farben factory. Very well could be one of a kind. A man stands with an unknown item in his hand. Looks like a drill. It’s on a wooden block with the factory’s initials on it. It is made of aluminum with a wooden base with a shield from IG Farben and is covered with green felt at the bottom. IG Farben was founded during the First World War and had an almost complete monopoly over the chemical industry in Germany during the Nazi period. IG Farben was officially founded on December 2, 1925. The original instigators of the IG Farben project were Carl Bosch (nephew of the electronics manufacturer Robert Bosch who was also a financial sponsor of Hitler’s party the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP)) and Carl Duisberg.
