Some kind of storage folder to commemorate 30 years of September Revolution in Libya. On September 1, 1969, a coup led by Colonel Muammar al-Qadhafi took place. This coup was later referred to as the September Revolution. Qadhafi established a nationalist and Pan-Arab dictatorship.
Oil extraction was nationalized and British and American engineers had to leave the country. In addition, all Italian possessions in Libya were expropriated. Since then, the Libyan economy has benefited greatly from oil revenues, leading to relatively low poverty and attracting migrants from poorer neighboring countries, both Arab and non-Arab.
This occasionally leads to ethnic tensions. During the 1980s, the country got into several conflicts with neighboring countries, often the result of attempts at cooperation that should have led to Arab unity.
